How to wash your face with oil - a step-by-step guide
One of the questions I get most often is:
How do I wash my face with oil? Won't that make my face super gross and oily?
Au contraire, my lovelies.
I've been washing my face with oil for about 5 years. I've tried all kinds of types of oil - baby oil (not made of babies), avocado oil, and a one-time desperate attempt with EVOO (I don't recommend that). But the one I love the most is sunflower seed oil. It's light and doesn't have a strong scent.
So, I researched some of the best essential oils for healthy, young skin - and that's how I developed the BAM Essentials Geranium Cypress Facial Cleanser.
Let's get into how this actually works. This is my actual process for washing my face with oil:
1. Get some warm water running.
It doesn't take long to wash your face with oil, but you'll want to have nice warm water ready to rinse your face at the end.
2. Spray (or pour) about a dime-size of facial cleanser oil in the palm of your hand.
That's about all you need - a dime-size amount of oil to clean your face. So when you purchase 4 oz of oil, that lasts for at least 6 weeks (with daily use, twice per day).
3. Massage in circular motion on your face.
Enjoy the experience. Make sure to rub on your eyelashes, especially if you wear mascara. The oil is also an eye make-up remover, so that's one less thing you have to buy!
4. Rinse with warm water.
Ah, this is lovely. Splash some nice warm water on your face and continue massaging your face.
5. Pat dry with towel or face cloth.
I keep a small, square face cloth next to the sink just to pat my face dry after washing, and of course, rotate that towel or face cloth as needed.
6. Admire your beautiful, clean, healthy skin.
...because really, how can you not stop and stare in the mirror! You're beautiful! Give yourself a high-five while you're at it - because with your purchase of BAM Essentials Geranium Cypress Facial Cleanser, you're also helping young women in St. Paul to overcome barriers and succeed in work and life.
Give it a try! Let me know how you like it!
